With so many people in our house, our kids slept on an air mattress in our room on Christmas Eve. That is how I know that they were up at 4am, 5:23am, and finally up for good at 6. We had already told the kids that they were not to wake anyone before 8. So at 6:20, I dragged myself to the shower and then headed downstairs.
The rule in our house is that you are allowed to open your stockings before everyone is up for the day. The kids wasted no time and got started right away!
Soon everyone was up and I think the present opening began shortly after 7. Everyone but me and Terry were in their Christmas jammies!
I loved the smiles all morning long! We had some very happy people!
Em was very pleased with her gifts-highlights included money (always a winner). her own camera, and a sewing machine.
Timmy's favorites were his guitar and new Wii games.
Madi loved her many new necklaces, jewelry, and Pet Shops.
After the presents were all opened, the kids played, the adults relaxed, breakfast was made, and the conversations never stopped. It really was a lot of fun to have so many people together for Christmas morning. Everyone felt so loved.
